Abstract EN

The psychological practice in Algeria is a mystery for both practitioner and individuals ;this is mainly due to the wrong representations for the roles and tasks that psychologist performs.

these roles differ according to his workplace and the cases he deals with.

on one hand, he has to deal with different categories of society(children, youth, mentally sick, handicapped…) who suffer from psychological disturbances.

on the otter hand, with specialists in various fields (doctors, psychiatrist, educator, orthophonist...).

this is considered as challenges for him, some of them are related to the conditions of psychological practice, and others are related to the work conditions.

all of these may affect him mentally, physically and psychologically.

therefore as a result, a psychologist must have personal and formative characteristics so that he can face these challenges and succeed in his job.
