The issue of choosing a life partner is of great importance for those about to get married, by virtue of the fact that the selection process determines the fate of the marriage in terms of its success or not.

in this context, this study comes to investigate the attitudes of students of social sciences specializing in clinical psychology (69 male and 81 female students) at the university of Blida 2 towards their marital choices, whether they are negative or positive.

as well as knowing the differences in these trends according to the gender variable.

the results of this study concluded that the students' attitudes were negative and there were differences in these attitudes towards marital choice due to gender.
