This study dealt with the challenges of the Islamic identity, because Islam has a lofty position among many researchers and scholars, considering that it is the last of the heavenly messages, and a religion characterized by universality, that is, the universality of the goal, the end, and the means.

Islam is an artificial belief; it is not subject to development and growth, so this study came to show the characteristics of the Islamic identity, its components, its status and its universality, and to know the challenges that are being faced by Islam and Muslims.

the study concluded that the Islamic identity is a well-established identity that stems from the sources of Islamic legislation, on which the principles of Islamic civilization are based, which calls for human dignity in rights and duties.

the researchers used the analytical and inductive method to know the challenges facing the Islamic identity today.
