Abstract EN

The importance given today to the regionalization of crisis and conflict management is growing in the international arena, to the point of creating regional organizations that guarantee the resolution of crises and conflicts in accordance with international standards.

The consequence is that the rapid evolution of mores and mentalities on the African continent calls for urgent responses for crisis management and conflict resolution.

Therefore, their demands call for adequate responses, otherwise we will see the multiplication of internal crises that are the real challenge facing Africa today.

Indeed, political instability, insecurity and the many wars that tear Africa apart are all evils that African countries must overcome.

So far, relations between African states are marked by mistrust.

This climate does not make it easy to find the third person often needed to help the antagonists resolve their differences.

The simultaneous crises affecting Africa undermine fundamental principles of the AU and the international community as a whole.

These include the principles of respect for national unity and territorial integrity of Member States; the rejection of terrorism and transnational organized crime, as well as unconstitutional changes of government; and respect for human rights.

These principles are of vital importance for the maintenance of peace, security and stability on the continent, as well as for its development.

Any attempt to undermine them with serious consequences and as such constitutes a threat to international peace and security
