This research aimed to identify the implications of the digital age for literary genres.

We used the descriptive approach to answer the questions of the study.

We concluded that a new form of the digital literary genre emerged to reflect the transition of digital literature.

The implications of the digital age lie in the relationship of the creative process elements becoming an interactive and participatory process, in which concepts such as intellectual property and intellectual reference, took on a new form.

It also lies in the aesthetic expression tools, which are based on a new type of digital rhetoric that bears the characteristics of interactivity, flexibility, and multimedia use.
