Abstract EN

Wormhole-routed mesh networks are the most common interconnection networks in multicomputers nowadays.

Collective communication in two-dimensional mesh networks, including broadcasting and multicasting, was investigated extensively.

Also broadcasting in three-dimensional mesh networks was studied.

The goal of this research is to study multicasting in wormhole-routed three-dimensional mesh networks.

The primary advantage of these networks is their superior scalability due to the shorter distances between their nodes.

We* propose three multicasting algorithms for such networks, compare their performance under different conditions, and show that they arc deadlock-free.

The results show that one of the algorithms (MSA) is superior to the others under heavy loads, whereas another (HPA) gives the best results under low to medium loads.
