Abstract EN

Al-Shaikh Abd Al-Munaam Al- Fartussie is one of famous poets of Iraq and Al-Najaf Al-Aashraf city .He was born in "Al-Raqassa village" in Al-Emara city south of Iraq in 1917, but he brought up in Al-Najaf Al-Aashraf city, and dead in UAE in 1983 and burried in Najaf Al-Aashraf city.

He had had great effect in literature and society.

He had expressed about him self that was very soft so that his poetry was romantic in it's imagination.

The themes of his poetry were about famous men in history like the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh), Imam Ali and his son Imam Hussain (pbut) , great battles and war's like karbalaa battle and second world war, nature, love and beauty was the favorite themes in his poetry .

Many of his poems was long and popular that it's available in his divan that divided into to parts.
