لمفومة هودجكن ذي العقد اللمفاوية السائدة هي إحدى أنواع لمفومة هودجكن التي وصفت حديثا، و تشكل 5-6 % من كل حالات لمفومة هودجكن.
نورد هنا حالة رجل كبير السن راجع مستشفى جامعة السلطان قابوس (عمان) و لديه فرط شديد في مستوى الكالسيوم بالدم، و كان تشخيص مرضه أنه في المرحلة الرابعة من لمفومة هودجكن ذي العقد اللمفاوية السائدة، و لو أن معدل حصول فرط مستوى الكالسيوم بالدم يتراوح بين 1-5 % في لمفومة هودجكن الكلاسيكية، و حسب علمنا يكون هذا أول تقرير للمفومة هودجكن ذي العقد اللمفاوية السائدة الذي يعرض طبيا كفرط في مستوى الكالسيوم في الدم.
إستجاب المريض لمضاد CD20 من الأجسام المضادة أحادية النسيلة (ريتوكسيماب)، و كان خاليا من الأعراض(هدأة سريرية) لمدة ثلاث سنوات.
Abstract EN
Nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NLPHL) is a recently described type of Hodgkin’s lymphoma (HL) and accounts for 5-6% of all the cases of HL.
Here we report the case of an elderly man who presented to Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, Oman, with severe hypercalcemia, and was diagnosed to have stage IV NLPHL.
Although the incidence of hypercalcemia is estimated to be between 1-5% in classical HL, to our knowledge this is the first report of NLPHL presenting with severe hypercalcemia.
The patient responded to the anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody, Rituximab, and has been in clinical remission for more than 3 years.
