-يبرز الكاتبان في هذا البحث مشكلة السيطرة على المعلومات، و يدعوان إلى حل هذه المشكلة عن طريقين : التقييس و المكننة، و يركزان في مجال التطبيق على أحد نظم المقاييس و هو نظام الترقيم الدولي المعياري للكتب، و استخدامه في المكننة الآلية لخزن المعلومات الببليوغرافية و استرجاعها و يظهران ضرورة تطبيق النظام في الدول العربية كافة.
Abstract EN
The authors discuss the issue of bibliographic control.
They call for solving this through standardization and automation.
Special emphasis is made on one system, namely ISBN and its use in the storage and retrieval of machine-readable bibliographic data.
All Arab countries are urged to apply this system.
