Abstract EN

Yemen to day are facing a lot of challenge arising out of the rapid changes seen in technology, information system , industrialization, globalization ,etc.

This has led to an increased concern a bout the education and development of human recourses.

The Yemen universities have recognized the importance of the continuing education centers.

Accordingly, continuing education centers have been established in most universities some of these centers are quite successful in offering excellent courses.

This paper analyzes and describes the necessity of the information and modern communication systems at these centers.

The paper attempts to study the structure of the in formation system at such centers and evaluate the quality of the input, the processes involved and the quality of the output information available there .Furthermore, the research discusses the essitional role of modern communication and information technology , how it is important to these continuing education centers.

The findings of this research indicate that there is a lack of awareness regarding the use of the modern tools of communications in getting the information transferred and disseminated among the Yemen universities.

Finally a list of recommendations based on the finding is appended and the conclusion is presented in the final section .

The paper recommends the establishment of on active information system, which will provide the proper flow of information in time, which in turn can facilitate decision making at these education centers.
