The multipole mixing ratios (8-values) of gamma (y)-transitions from low and high-spin states excited in the2jjNi(j2Mg,pny)8"9Y reaction are calculated in the present work using the a2-ratio, constant statistical tensor (CST) and least squares fitting (LSF) methods together with the experimental angular distribution ^-coefficients reported for such y-transitions.
The good agreement between the 8-values calculated by these methods for most y-transitions confirm the validity of the three methods in calculating the 8-values of such y-transitions.
The weighted averages of 8-values calculated for mixed y-transitions are presented as adopted values
