يستند المقال على المواصفة الدولية رقم 690 في عام 1987 التي أصدرتها منظمة التقييس الدولية ويغطي المقال الأنواع التالية من المطبوعات : كتب دوريات أجزاء كتب مساهمات في الكتب مقالات الدوريات و الوثائق الأصلية وتدرج العناصر الاساسية و الاختيارية للوصف مزودة بالامثلة ثم تعطى الاسس التي تنطبق على كل عنصر ويشير المقال الى قواعد اعداد قوائم المراجع الببليوغرافية متبوعة باستشهادات توصف فيها الطرق المتنوعة لاظهار العلاقات بينها موضحة بالامثلة
Abstract EN
The article is based on ISO 690/1987 - Documentation-Bibliographic References- Content, Form and Structure.
It covers the following types of publications: books, periodicals, parts of books, contributions to books, journal articles and patents.
Both essential and optional elements of description are stated with examples.
Then the rules that apply to each element are given.
The rules for preparing the lists of bibliographic references are mentioned, followed by the citations where the various ways of showing the relations between the former and latter are described, illustrated by examples.
