Tanut- Amun, he is the son of Shabaka , the last king of the25th dynasty in Egypt.

He coregent with his predecessor Taharqa in his last year.

The Assyrian king, Assur- Banebal invaded Egypt during the reign of Tanut- Amun, but he, the later, restored Egypt and settled in Memphis .

He became the real pharaoh of the whole Egypt anew after he had punished the princes of the northern provinces, he dealed peace with them at last.

Assur- Banebal re-conquered Egypt and arrived Memphis and continued marching to Thebes that he destroyed at 659B.C.

Tanut- Amun retreated south, no hearing of him again.

The new one on this article is a new regnal year was attributed to him ,a ninth regnal year instead of his eighth, which was attested to him on a new inscribed limestone recently discovered at Luxor.

Tanut-Amun has many monuments scattered over Egypt.
