Abstract EN

Definition : Students in university live today in a world its most remarkable feature is the quick transformation ,world fills of new condition and situations that can not be counted like:wars,catastrophes,the complication of civilization and the difficulties of fulfilling desires beside a very quick social changing the same as the temptation of life and the weakness of the religious and moralist values;all these features make huge struggle affecting on students' psychological and mental life as well as their life style causing unstable character which is marked by anxiety.

This anxiety increases on them (university students)not only because of their fear from failing in their study,but also because of fearing of being unemployed after graduation that can make them being added to the list idles and this is what is called "the anxiety of the professional future" Research aims 1-identifiy the level of the anxiety from the professional future on university students.

2-create an standard measurement for anxiety from the professional future.

3-identify the difference in the levels of anxiety from the professional future on the student of Kerbala university according to the two variables"sex and specialization (scientific–literary)".

Research limits : This research is limited with fourth stage students in Kerbala university colleges (2007-2008).

Research procedures : In order to fulfill research aims , the researchers has created a standard to measure the levels of anxiety from the professional future which contains , one dimension ,the possibility of having a job .

This standard consists from (20) items .

This standard has been applied on sample of (499)fourth year student (male-female)choosing randomly and from different colleges as this rate : (275)students from College of Education,(224)student from College of sciences.

After gathering this information and dealing with them statistically,it has been reached that the members of this sample have strong anxiety from the professional future also there are statistic function difference among the different colleges students (scientific– literary) and the benefit for the literary colleges beside a benefit for the males in other statistic function.

Recommendation and suggestion 1- from one side activate the professional direction to fit the country needs of graduates and students abilities and their desires ,from another side.

2-activate the planning strategy for higher education to fit with requirements of the business market .

3-more researches should be made concerned with anxiety from the professional future on students of universities and connect it with some variables like : students social manner , member of the family and the age.

4-working on effort uniting among educationists , psychologists and men in charge to find the suitable solutions to decrease this anxiety .
