Abstract EN

The present study aims at identifying the obstacles that f ace the staff members of the university of Karbala .

More over ,it tries to know the effect of sex qualification and the scientific t .

the on these obstacles .

T0 achieve these aims ,the study has a sample of (140) staff member of the college of education.

This sample represents (25%)of the original society of the study .

The researcher had prepared a questionnaire to know the obstacles that face the staff members .

This questionnaire is composed of ( 50 ) item chivied on five fields ( student – specific ,managerial , staff-member ,specific ,scientific-research specific and promotion – specific ).

After processing the results statistically ,it has been found out that there are serious and There are also statistical differences among obstacles fields .

There differences were on behalf of the second type of fields ,that is managerial obstacles .

There ,the fourth field ,i.e.

scientific –research comes second followed by the fifth field ,i.e., promotions the results show statistical differences in the sex variable on behalf of males .

Other differences in qualification are shown on behalf of M.A.

holders.

In the light of the above results ,the researcher recommends the following.

1-Coordination and cooperation among Iraqi universities should be carried out in different fields.

2- Providing financial and immaterial supply necessary to finance scientific researches .

3- Decreasing the sharpness of the routine which controls the managerial work in the university .

The researcher has suggested the following : 1-Carrying out an equal study to know more about the obstacles that face the staff member and which are not tackled in the present study .

2- Carrying out a study to know the effect of these obstacles on the degree of work satisfaction for the staff members of the university of Karbala .
