Abstract EN

This paper claims that the poeticness of Arabic poetry, in its log history, has witnessed transformations that has affected the product of Arabic poetry theoretically and practically.

Theoretically speaking, old & neas critics have, have discussed the concept of poetry and discussedit according to their own visions as well as the nation's collective conscience.

Accordingly, the concept of poetry has transformed form time by going beyond what has already existal of adding to it through concentrating on certain poetic phenomena and diminishing others.

Practically speaking, it was found that poetry before and after pre- Islamic poems which represent poetic perfection, has transformed in form.

Violations were seen whether in the preludes or in their rhetorical structure until we reach the Moushahat geometrical poem, meter poetry and what's known as prose poem, This study has clarified these aspects and reuealed the turning points of these transformations.
