Abstract EN

Text system is one of the main pivotal points in the Text structure.

This study tries to answer the following two questions: 1- Is it possible to describe a system for the text like the Arabic sentence system in its clarity and details? 2- What are the distinctive features of this system? To do so, the term "Text System" is identified in addition to scanning the different models introduced by Arab and Western scholars to study this system.

The study concludes that we can suggest a clear system for the text, but it is not as clear as the sentence system.

The components of the distinctive features of the Text System are: I- The structural side of the texts which, studies the super and infra structures of the text, coherence, producing the text and the temporal form, 2- The semantic side of the text which, studies cohesion which makes the whole meaning of the text.

3- The usage which, studies the relationship between text and context.

The proposed model had been applied on the “Zalzalah Sura”
