Abstract EN

The study aimed to describe the statue quo of continuing education in technical colleges in Gaza governorates.

It investigated the efficiency of continuing education in achieving comprehensive development , and the difficulties that hinder this role.

Moreover, the study proposed recommendations to improve the efficiency of continuing education.

For this purpose, a questionnaire was designed and distributed to (40) deans, chairmen of continuing education departments, and chairmen of academic department, in technical colleges .

The study revealed that planning and assessment of continuing education programs are carried out continuously and integratively .

It also showed out that most successful training programs are those which are complimentary and private , while the least successful are summer programs and in service professional programs, In addition, the study concluded that social and cultural activities are neglected.
