Children’s Library and information

The role of children’s library and Information services in Algeria has not yet got the consideration that it deserves.

Reading is not recognized as a priority.

The educational system knows several reforms and revisions to confront various difficulties, but has not yet been able to impose itself as a fundamental pillar for development and innovation.

Different questions are raised : What is the real situation of these institution ? Does the cultural policy in the country encourage the promotion of these libraries ? Do they really contribute to the educational and cultural development of the Algerian society ? Are there ambitious perspectives for these informational services?
