Abstract EN

This study attempted to diagnose the status of the civil society as an actual practice in Jordan and the Palestinian National Authority, taking into consideration the non-qualitative difference from other Arab countries, in which these differences are represented in data and degree.

The study highlighted the development of the relation between the unofficial institutions and the social sectors that governed by exceptional laws which rule its capabilities and directives towards political participation.

The study also concluded that there is a thorny relation between these institutions and the political systems, which derives its legitimacy from the outside, either historically or in terms of shaping its contemporary relations.
