Abstract EN

This research explains types of laser discs (LDs), since they were known at the beginning of 20th century, their common use at the libraries, positiveness and negativeness of LDs, and their uses in several fields.

The research concentrates on using LDs in some Iraqi Libraries, with respect to numbers, subject contents of information, acquisition methods, technical processing of LDs, and details for fields of description, with examples in Arabic.
