Recently, abundant researchers proved the strong links between several severe political conflicts and the acquisition of wealth based on violence.

In this sense violent conflicts are not the product of political mismanagements, but rather, violence is used to generate wealth and richness.

At the core of this process warlords, globalize companies and rich-seeking adventurers maintain chaos and instability to ensure the reproduction of markets of violence.

This paper discusses this new trend in analyzing conflicts.

The fist section of the paper is devoted to the definition of “markets of violence”.

The second section tries to use several schools of thoughts in order to put down a rational foundation for understanding the orientation of this social action Referring to the Congo Democratic civil wars as a case-study, the paper was able to verify that this new analytical perspective could be a promising tool in analyzing most of African conflicts.

The paper believes that the demise of this sort of markets is very difficult within the current context of international capitalism.

However, the Congo Democratic experience threw some lights of hope on the possibility of minimizing markets of violence’s perpetuation.
