Abstract EN

This study tackles the poetic dictionary of Bishr Ibn Abi Khazim through the ruin and animal, which occupied a great area of his poems due to the nature of live led by the pre Islamic individual.

The ruin was associated with the women to make the ruin a living thing as woman was a symbol of eternity and immortality against the obliterated ruin.

For the animals, the study examined the types of animals mentioned in their names or traits in the poet's works.

These animals include the shecamel, horse, onager, wild bull, ostrich, gazelle, antelope, lion, hyena, ibex, wolves ….

and other animals.

And then the study showed the poet's connection with these animals in all the topics included in his poems.
