Abstract EN

This study tackles the heritage symbol throughout analyzing the poetic discourse of the poem "Al-Bukaa Baina Yaday Zarqaa Al- Yamamah" written by the poet Amal Danqel.

The study concluded that the poet has the ability of employing the heritage symbol by the means of the evocation three important figures who embodied a reality in their lives that was characterized by rejection and dissatisfaction.

These figures are: Zarqaa Al-Yamamah, Antarah Bin Shaddad and the Queen Al- Zabaa.

Choosing these three characters (discontented with their reality) is the same as the poet's view toward reality, which is an inseparable part of his personal experience that was characterized by discontent and rejection.

The poet's selectin of Zarqaa Al- Yamamah character (as the fortuneteller, the people, intellectuals and poets 000) to express grief and sorrow inside him was a part of the poet's world that dreams of the victory of the people's will.
