تهدف هذه الدراسة لبيان تأثير نهر العز الذي يقوم بتصريف مياه الاهوار على الحمولات النهرية لشط العرب.
تم اختيار ثلاث سنوات مائية لتوضيح هذا التأثير ،الأولى 1989-1990 تعد سنة جافة وكانت تمثل خط الأساس لتوضيح التغيرات في تصريف المياه والرواسب ، بينما كانت السنة الثانية 1994-1995 تمثل بداية عمليات تجفيف الاهوار والسنة الثالثة 1997-1998 تمثل استقرار عملية التجفيف.
أوضحت النتائج ارتفاع نسبة تصريف الرواسب في شط العرب خلال سنة 1994-1995 نتيجة انعدام تأثير الاهوار كبؤرة ترسيبية للحمولات النهرية القادمة من حوض وادي الرافدين.
Abstract EN
This study attempt to clearify the effect of AL-Ezz River; which is discharging the Ahwar waters ; on the Shatt Al-Arab sediment loads.
Three water years have been choosen to show this effect, the first 1989-1990 is a dry water year represents a base line for this study either for water discharge or for sediment discharge.
The second one 1994-1995 represent a biging of Ahwar drying processes, while the thired shows a stablization of drying processes.
The results display that there is a high percentage of sediment discharge in Shatt Al-Arab River during 1994-1995 due to terminate the rule of Ahwar region as a settelment basin of Tigris and Euphretes sediments loads.
