Abstract EN

Methylalumoxane (MAO) activated metallocene and amid functionalized ansa half sandwich complexes with group 4 metals are able to activate linear and cyclic alkanes at temperatures in the range of 300-400°C to give the corresponding alkenes, branched isomers and C,C coupling products without a hydrogen acceptor.

The new catalytic species are supposed to be MAO cages incorporating metallocene fragments.
