ضمن إقليم Julodinae يعد هذا العمل الأول من نوعه في تصنيف حفارات السيقان ذوات الروؤس المسطحة من عويلة مع بيان الصفات التصنيفية والمظهرية Julodis كردستان العراق، حيث سجِلت خلال الدراسة اربعة انواع تنتمي لجنس بشكل مفصل لكل نوع ووضع مفاتيح تقسيمية لعزل العويلة والقبائل والأجناس والأنواع للبالغات اعتمادا على صفات الشكل الخارجي، وخاصة عضو التسافدالذكري، مع الإشارة إلى مناطق جمع وانتشار هذه الأنواع و عوائلها وتواريخ جمعها.
Abstract EN
This work is considered the first attempt toward the taxonomy of the subfamily Julodinae (Coleoptera: Buprestidae) in Kurdistan-Iraq.
A total of 4 species of Iraqi Julodis were recorded.
Adults were precisely described and all body parts were illustrated.
The important characteristics for species were described, and keys have been formulated to the tribes, genera and species according to various morphological characters particularly the male genitalia.The distributional localities, dates of collection and hosts were given for all the studied species
