Every human being needs to appropriate space and operate according to his desires and needs.

The interaction between man and his space environment is organized according to the biological and psychological needs.

A child deprived of space in his house to express and assert his personality as for example painting his room.

May create obstacles for in his psychological and intellectual development.

Given the importance of space in the development of the child personality and psycho-sociological balance.

We started a research on the impact of spaces in the house and the room on the academic performance of pupils of primary school The issue of our research is: 1 - Is there a relationship between family space and academic performance : 2 - Is there a relationship between the student performance and his room? This research was conducted on 100 students including 45 girls and 55 boys in three schools in the capital Algiers.

We established two hypotheses: 1 - There is a positive relationship between academic achievement and family space.

2 - There is a positive relationship between academic achievement and space room of the student.

The results show that there exists a statistical correlation between family space and in the examination، and also a strong correlation between family space and the average annual mark.

The results also indicate that there is a strong correlation between the space of the room and the examination7 and also a strong correlation between the space of the room andthe average annual mark.

In conclusion we can say that the family space and space of the room where the child lives has a direct impact with academic achievement.

Therefore7 we can deduce it is time to sensitize architects while training them about bringing the psychology of space and habitat space and its application in achieving the project.
