Abstract EN

The concept of cultural dialogue implies a number of meanings which indicate communication and interaction among different items of the human experience and its main categories in which various cultural and social patterns are displayed.

These various patterns share common strong and closely related characteristics.

Its vision always directs it to look for other models, and has the ability to overcome difficulties and unite, in spite of variation in methods of life and the expressions it reflects on values, beliefs, arts, rights and customs.

In spite of the above mentioned tendencies for coexistence and thought sharing, there was a huge gap between these goals and the possibility of realizing them from a historical perspective, Hence, cultural dialogue has become a vital requirement for nations to integrate their contributions to confront challenges and be able outlook the future in the different phases of development which are surrounded by hopes as they are hindered by difficulties, These were the factors which has accompanied the calls for searching in the relationships among civilizations and evaluating them objectively.

Undoubtedly, a disadvantage in criticism in this aspect is that general view which does not distinguish between cultural dialogue and dialogue across civilizations.

On the basis of this , any dialogue which is worthy of such description should be a cultural dialogue or else it would be no more than revolving around a vicious circle.

After considering the characteristics of cultural dialogue we referred to, the paper will attempt to answer the following questions; __ What is its significance ? __ What is it targeting ? __ What are its forms? _ What are the possible fields that require dialogue in the today? world of
