Abstract EN

Atotal of (50) sample were collcted from feathers of (50) House sparrow from Missan during July to determine the role of this bird in transfering the keratinophilic fungi, which considered clinically important .

Inside this study keratinophilic fungi appeared on (18) House sparrow (36%).

The genus chrysosporium was the most apparent.

Scopulariposis brevicaulis,Arthroderma curreyi and Trichophyton terrestre also appeared.

Through reviewing the Pathogenictiy of the Isolated fungi it is concluded that House sparrow transfering Keratinophilic fungi because of the fast movement of sparrow from one position to another and because of it’s touching with children , although it’s difficult to determine if the increasing number of House sparrow can be of significance in fungal Epidemiology.
