Abstract EN

This study have been depend on using supervise classification for digital imaging to study and specify classes of soil and then propose a relationship among soil types, their bearing capacity and reflected spectra of the color result from visible spectrum of a satellite image.

All results are based on classifying process for the image that is taken for an area in Nassiriya city which lies between latitude (31 0 3 42 - 31 0 2 31 ) North and longitudes (46 0 11 21 - 46 0 12 45 ) East .

This area has been selected due to the availability of the field information and also due to its own physical and chemical specifications that can be recognized among classes of visible spectra.
