This paper aimed to explore and show the status of clean energy as an alternative for Fossil sources energy in time of growing international demand for energy from various sources to ensure continuity of economic progress by all countries around the world, it is also aimed to expose a critical analyze of what are the impacts of new energy on evolution of environmental security? This security kind is important challenge facing individuals in contemporary age, in the same time it is become a care issue in today world agenda.

This challenge has structurally linked with development process through new concepts; as green economic development (and green economy), sustainable development, and clean economy...

In this paper we will discuss “the clean energy bets and challenges for achieving the environmental security” through the answers of three important questions, the first one is: what are the environmental heritages of fossil energy sources? The second one is: how can we analyzed the opportunities of clean energy for safekeeping the environment? The last question is: what are the major challenges in this process and what is the impact of international financial crisis on clean energy trends?
