This study aimed at finding out the amount of mathematical thinking skills found among secondary school students in Aden Governorate.

The sample consisted of 154 (male and female) third year.

Scientific section students, from two (Boys and Girls) Model Schools and from four (Boys and Girls) Government Schools. The technique used was a test mathematical thinking to measure some mathematical thinking skills of the sample population. The study revealed that there is high level of weakness in the sample population in mathematical thinking in general, and in some sub-skills in particular, where the mean was 20.78 or 20.78% and this weakness is at the statistical level of significance of (0.01). The main recommendation of the study is the necessity of enriching the mathematics courses in the secondary school curriculum with topics relating to mathematical thinking in all its forms and types
