Abstract EN

The current study addressed a significant issue in Hadith Sciences, that is describing the correctness of some reference books.

The study examined the roots of such an issue, concluding that it goes back to the second Hijri century.

The study also identified the tellers' perspectives concerning the possibility of describing a certain references as correct.

It was found that there was a variation in their perspectives concerning this issue due to different reasons.

In Imam Al Hakim perspective, proposing certain criteria for correctness will reduce such variation, but does not eliminate it.

Some of tellers' perspectives appeared in the context of this study, but these perspectives were not as famous as Imam Al Hakim's perspective.

Nonetheless, such perspectives were opposed by some Hadith scholars.
