Of the approaches of the stylistic fact - in the centers the stylistics - operate themselves through the relation between the text and its author, while other approaches concentrate their interests on the survey of the text in its relation with his reader, whereas a third approach eliminates the author as well that the reader, centering his interest that on the text.

Seen this diversity and this divergence, we tried through this survey to follow the chronology of the stylistic research and its evolution of the antique to the modern era, in light of the strong ties woven between the stylistics, the rhetoric, the critique and linguistics.
