أظهرت نتائج البحث من خلال تشريح 149 من إناث الجنس Phlebotomus الحبلى المتغذية عدم وجود طفيلي الليشمانيا في معدة هذه الحشرات، في حين أشارت النتائج إلى وجود نسبة عالية من التلوث الجرثومي في القناة الهضمية لإناث هذه الحشرات إذ كان جنس المتقلبات Proteus هو السائد بالنسبة للبكتريا من الجانب الأخر بينت النتائج وجود تنوع فطري كبير في القناة الهضمية لهذه الحشرات حيث أظهرت إصابة فطرية Mycoses إذ عزلت سبعة أنواع فطرية و إن Sacchromyces هي السائدة و المتواجدة في جميع الإناث المشرحة.
Abstract EN
The present work deals with a microbial study on Sand flies (Psychodidae : Diptera) in Basrah Governorante a long the period of September 2003–November 2004, monthly samples were collected at five permanent stations The results have shown that the promastigote leishmania are not found in the stomach of 149 gravid and fed female of Phlebotomus species under investigation.
On the other hand, the elemantry canal of these Sand flies are unstirelized and that Proteus bocteria are dominant.
There were high mycoses a variance inside the elemantry canal as well as seven species of fungi are isolated and Sacchromyces are dominant in all dissecting females.
