أجريت الدراسة في قضاء أبي الخضيب-محافظة البصرة في الموسمين الخريفين لعامي 2002 و 2003م لمعرفة تأثير رش مستخلصين نباتين هما مستخلص الثوم بتركيزين (1 : 0.5) و (1 : 1) (وزن : حجم)، و مستخلص عرق السوس بتركيزين 1.25 و 2.50 غم.
لتر -1، و منظمي النمو IAA بتركيز 25 و 50 و 75 ملغم.
لتر -1 و الأثيفون بتركيز 100و 200 و 300 ملغم.
لتر – 1 في حاصل نباتات خيار القثاء و الخيار.
و قد أظهرت النتائج ما يأتي : أدت المعاملة بمستخلص الثوم بتركيز 1 : 1 إلى زيادة عدد الثمار للنبات و طول الثمرة و قطرها و وزنها و الحاصل المبكر و الكلي لنباتي خيار القثاء و الخيار عند المعاملة بمستخلص عرق السوس بتركيز 2.50 غم.

نتج عن المعاملة بمنظمي النمو IAA و الأثيفون زيادة في عدد الثمار للنبات و طول الثمرة و قطرها و وزنها و الحاصل المبكر و الكلي و فيتامين ج لنباتي خيار القثاء و الخيار، و أدت المعاملة بالأثيفون بتركيز 200و 300 غم.
لتر -1 إلى زيادة نسبة المادة في ثمار كلا النباتين.
تفوقت المعاملة بالأثيفون بتركيز 300 ملغم.
لتر -1 على باقي معاملات التجربة في صفات الحاصل الكمية و النوعية لكلا النباتين.
Abstract EN
This study was carried out in Abu-Al-Khassib region-Basrah, during over two growing seasons of 2002 and 2003, to study the effect of garlic extract at (0.5:1) and (1:1) (w:v), and the common liquorice extract at 1.25 and 2.5 g.l-1, IAA 25,50 and 75 mg.l-1 , and ethephon at 100,200,300 mg.l-1 and untreated control on the yield of snake cucumber (cv.Khunaisry) and cucumber (cv.Beitalpha) plants. The result showed that garlic extract treatment at (0.5:1) conc.
Increased fruit number per plant, fruit length and diameter, early and total yield, vitamin C and dry matter of fruit for both plants. Treatment of growth regulators (IAA and ethephon) increased fruit number per plant, fruit length and diameter, early and total yield, vitamin C of fruit for both plants.
Ethephon at conc.of (200,300 mg.l-1) increased dry matter of fruit for both plants. Ethephon at conc.
of (300 mg.l-1) gave the highest quantity and quality yield compared to other treatment.
