Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the family structure and juvenile delinquency in the U.A.E society trough the analysis of the demographic characteristics for the delinquents (gender, age, educational level, relationship between their parents) and the characteristics of the delinquent's parent, the nature of their family structure, and the parental supervision.

Findings showed that there was significant relationship according to the level of parental supervision and the juvenile delinquency.

The point of departure for the study was Gottfredson and Hirschi's General Theory of Crime.
