This study aims to portray the main traits of Al-'Ash'ath Ibn Qays Al-Kindi, one of the major Muslim personalities who had played key roles in the major events at the outset of Islam and the end of ar-Riddah wars- in addition to his participation in the Islamic conquests and the Battle of Saffin.

Historical accounts of Al-'Ash'ath Ibn Qays Al-Kindi have ranged from positive to negative portrayals, and the researcher has tried to give an objective portrayal, in accordance with the available sources, and to create the perspective it deserves with no bias or prejudice.

Having scrutinized the historical narratives on Al-'Ash'ath Ibn Qays Al-Kindi, the researcher reveals many positive traits that this personality is characterized with.
