Abstract EN

This study was aimed at recognizing personality characteristics of sport sciences students at Mu'tah University, and to recognize differences in personality determinants according to gender and academic level.

The subjects of this study were (119) students (male =63, female =56).

The investetigator used the description method in its surveying form, using Fraiborge form as a tool for collecting information.

It consisted of eight dimensions, divided into (56) items f the dimensions are related to rage, offence, sadness, ability to be aggravated, social status, calmness, being bossy and self control.

The results of this study have shown that personality dimensions among sport science students are positive.

The results have also shown the presence of statistically significant differences on the dimension offence and being bossy which are attributed to male students, and that which is attributed to female students at the dimension of self control The study revealed the presence of differences of statistical significance attributed to academic level, in favor of level four on the dimension calmness, and on the dimension of selfcontrol significance attributed to level one.
