For decades, the problem of researchers and seekers of knowledge is the matter of reaching and requiring information, either because it’s not enough or it’s difficult to access, the libraries in global and local information centers, encyclopedias and Archive centers, reports and studies, are the most important sources of information and acquisition.

With the advent of information and communication technology and the enormous speed of deployment and availability to the public, this fact was changed immediately, and the major problem become the one of the correct choice of the required information in a huge amount of references and documents especially with the advent of sophisticated information systems and international information network (internet). During the last decade, especially with the advent of communication technology and the information revolution and the access for every individual and every institution in society at a reasonable cost, appeared to exist new science definitions such as “knowledge management “. This recent administrative term may sound like strange kind, knowledge management is considered as one of the most volatile issues of our time, and it’s also the focus of the efforts of the parties and multiple different points of view in particular workers in the field of business management and information centers and libraries. The term of the knowledge management is heavy on the ears of the managers of information systems in the recent period because the weight of this word to mind one of the initiatives put forward a lot in recent years. The knowledge management is the latest concepts in management science, other types of modern management techniques and, which developed literature on quantity and quality, which are the most important features of the vital influence on the quality of work in information systems. Algeria as a developed country, always seeks to catch up the advanced countries, and this by adapting it to developments in all spheres of political, economic, cultural and specially in the information field, and within this context, some institutions documentary in general and university libraries in particular are seeking to adopt the styles of modern management and highlighted by the (knowledge management), But despite all that was said about knowledge management in information institutions in Algeria, but the fact of its activation in the university libraries still presents many question points. For all, this paper came in the context of is trying to figure outthe reality of activation of knowledge management in the University libraries through the vision of the professionals in the field of library and information sciences in the University Library of Tebessa.
