Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the actual use (reality) of Internet by academic staff in Jordan with special reference to Al-Balqa’ Applied University by answering the following questions: Does the faculty member has the ability to use and benefit from the available Web-site? What most research interest for faculty member in the use of Internet? What are the actual needs of faculty member for internet services? To what extent the internet services meet the faculty members needs? What are the main obstacles that face the faculty member in their use of internet? Highlight the attitude and actual point of views of faculty members towards the internet services.

To achieve the aim of the study we use analytical descriptive methods of questionnaires which developed by the researcher and we use the interview methods to collect and analyze related data.

The study ends up with some identical results and suggestions followed by recommendations to encourage the use of internet by faculty members and the responsibility of universities to cover the coast of using internet by faculty members.
