Arabic Abstract

Science of planning is considered the basis for any developmental process that covers the required region.

Planning has many domains including environmental planning which concerns about putting the policies and standards which include administrating and regulating all environmental elements and pollutants, one of the main environmental pollutants are solid waste and the damages and harms cause like latchets, toxic and polluting gases that had an extreme impact on environment and human health.

Palestine is considered one of the developing countries that is still suffering from great pollutants and damages results from solid waste existing in random dumpsites in unhealthy and wrong places.

In common and most cases, Garbage is disposed off by either burying or burning without taking in consideration the standards and bases of safety and intact administration.

So scientific and comprehensive master studies concerning this subject "Intact planning" that determine the main sites of dump sites in west bank, and restrict the random, big dumpsites to main and dump sites with great efficiency and less number.

Therefore, this study titled " good Planning to select the site of sanitary landfill",-covering Hebron District as case study-is made for many reasons, such as: its large area, big number of random dumpsites in the governorate, the great pollution occurring in many areas in the governorate as a result of random dumpsites and its dangerous and toxic impacts on environment and human health.

This study considers as a first study doing in Palestine to treatment the random dumpsite problems and to find since and suitable solutions for that, it could be by choose criteria and conditions to find good please for sanitary landfill .Its important to sharing community sector and economical aspects to determined the site, and not depending only to the pure physical and engineering roles.

During this study, area under studying, the confronted problems objectives of the study has been discussed and treated, in addition to the methodology adopted in the research, also presenting the modern scientific basics to determine the position of sanitary landfills.

Moreover, the study has dealt with the general characteristics in which all Hebron District condition like Demographical, Geological, and Hydrological condition .as a result of that it found that the situation of landfill exist in East part of Hebron District, after dividing the District to square with one kilometer for each one, many area like residential area, closed area water catchments area lands after separation wall which means88 %of total District area and 12 % be raffle accepted for new landfill site each square have a value according to mager four criteria selected to choose the new site like the distant from built up area , road axis’s geology stable and metrological condition , At end of report basis of safety and health protection according landfill work .Finally recommendation and result of study put .

After many stages and planning process it clear that the suitable please for central sanitary landfill for Hebron District locate at the East part of Bany Neam Town at the East part of District, that area have my advantage and characteristic makes it better than any area in District ,its important to emphasize the selected area come as a result of a playing many criteria.
