Islamic Conference Organization is considered one of the most important international organization through its attitudes from Islamic and international questions.

Iran has taken part in the establishment of this organization since 1969, and it participated in much of this Conferences whether on summit level or on the level of ministers.

Also, in its turn, it hosted some of them, wove over, Iran has cultural activities with research center for Islamic history, Arts and culture which is in Istanbul and subordinate to the organization.

Iran has achieved, through its membership in the organization, evident openness in its foreign relations in the reign of president Mohammed Khatami whether with Arab, Islamic and Western States.
