Abstract EN

The refractivity considered as a two-component parameter; a dry part and a wet part.

The wet component is very sensitive to moisture fluctuations.

On the vertical gradients of refractivity are determined.

The change of refractivity with height is linear.

A simple model to determine the refractivity at any height is designed.

The input to the model is the surface observations.

This is considered to be an advantage since the upper observations are rare.
