Gifts have always been significant in peoples life no matter how priviliged or primitive societies they live in.
The types of gifts are also differently conceptualised which may give an image about lifestyle and relationships in a certain society.
The current study is conducted to investigate the topic of the carried gifts with Assyrian society to shed light on the concepts prevalent at that period and how people conceptualise gifts-exchange.
The study has come in three axes: The first axis has tackled how the Assyrian presented as sacrifices to their gods in temples.
The second one has focused on the diplomatic concept of gifts as they had considerations related to mutual respect, appreciation, and enhancing cooperation among ancient Kingdome; while the third axis has focused attention to gifts of social nature presented in various occasions such as marriage gifts.
Additionally, gifts enjoyed abundance in names which, some of them, are given to many personal compound name.
