Assonance is one of the arts of literature.

It maybe the oldest one that emerged among them.

It is the first form of the musical system in literature when the first shapes of rhymes at the ends of sentences were written and arranged upon pauses and syllables which had a great influence on the audience.

As the researchers say the assonance is the rife of the poetry.

It is the first technical shape of literature.

Some of them say: "Assonance or (rhymed and rhythm less prose) must be the oldest Arabic technical form." Assonance is of three divisions: First religious assonance which is the religious hymns and anthems.

Second assonance of clergymen which is was done by clergymen.

Third assonance of orators which it was invented by eloquent men of Aljahili Arabs.

In the article we will try to study assonance and its types at Aljahili time and also the technical features of each types and the causes of its appearance.
