The void contract is an illegal contract in its origin and description of its element, subject-matter, purpose, or formation that is imposed by law for its creation, where that contract has no effect or legality.

Some of the legal effects of the void contract might be similar to other contracts, however, such effects would differ more than being similar.

The Jordanian legislator mixed between the void contract and other contracts, where he considered the voidability of contract according to the time of creating the contract, and other reasons previous to such creation.

Such issue is inconsistent with certain legal provisions, which would affect the nature of liability.

This research reaches the conclusion that the contract period where it would be described as void is the time of its creation and not previous to or after such creation, where certain legal provisions shall be amended in order to reach the above result.
