Desertification is a problem that faced people of Abulkhaseeb nowadays and in the past, in particular in agriculture.

Lately, it became a real danger and a barrier that face developing the agricultural production especially garden crops, Which used to be planted in the district for ages.

The study aims at studying the natural and human factors that help the emergence and aggravation of this phenomenon.

It also shows the aspects of desertification in the district.

The study shows that there are many natural and human factors that contributed in aggravating this phenomenon in different degrees.

The most apparent natural factors that aggravated desertification in the district are the types of irrigation water and the land qualities, while the crucial factors are the urban and constructional expansion in addition to mismanagement.

The study shows that the land of the district is almost salty.

The researcher provides a few recommendations to help solving this problem.
