تم تسجيل حشرة تربس البطيخ Thrips palmi Karny 1925 لأول مرة في العراق و التي جمعت من محافظتي بغداد و كربلاء خلال الأعوام 209 و 2010 من أزهار و أوراق نباتات عديدة منها الخيار و الطماطم / البندورة و البطاطا / البطاطس و الباذنجان المزروعة في الحقول و البيوت البلاستيكية.
و تم توضيح صفات المظهر الخارجي و قورنت بالمفاتيح المتوفرة لهذا النوع.
Abstract EN
Melon thrip samples were collected from Baghdad and Karkalla Governorates in Iraq during 2009 and 2010 from leaves and flowers of many crops such as potato, tomato, eggplant, cucumber and melon in the field and greenhouses.
The morphological characters were examined and compared with the available keys.
The mite was identified as Thrips palmi Karny 1925, and this is the first record of this species in Iraq.
